Stop at Tigua Community: Begin your adventure with an early departure to the Quilotoa area. Along the way, take in the majestic Andean scenery, dotted with fields of barley, wheat, potatoes, and quinoa. Make a stop at the Tigua community, renowned for its talented artists who create vibrant paintings on sheepskin canvases. These works of art capture Andean landscapes, daily life, and culture, offering a unique glimpse into the region’s traditions.

Visit Quilotoa Lake: Pass through the charming town of Zumbahua, where you can explore a vibrant local market (available only on Saturdays). Upon reaching Quilotoa, you’ll be greeted by the stunning sight of the emerald-green Quilotoa Lake, set within a volcanic crater. Capture panoramic views from the rim or, for hiking enthusiasts, explore the crater’s trails. With a diameter of 2 km and a depth of 500 m, the Quilotoa crater offers incredible hiking opportunities.

Return to Quito: After a day of cultural immersion and exploration, return to Quito in the afternoon.
