Welcome to Ecuador Local Guide! By booking a tour with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking & Payment

A deposit of [20]% of the total tour cost is required to secure a booking.

Full payment must be made [45] days before the tour departure.

Payments can be made via wire transfer or credit card. Please note that credit card transactions may incur additional fees, which are determined and collected by the respective payment processors, banks, or service providers. These fees are not included in our tour prices and are the responsibility of the traveler.

Prices are quoted in USD American Dollars.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations made [45] days before the tour start date are eligible for a [100]% refund. Certain properties, such as Galápagos cruises, Amazon lodges, and exclusive hotels, may have different booking and cancellation policies. Ecuador Local Guide is committed to negotiating with our suppliers to provide the most flexible options possible for our travelers. 

Cancellations within [30] days of the tour are non-refundable.

No-shows will not receive a refund.

If we cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or alternative tour option will be provided.

3. Changes & Modifications

Changes to bookings (such as date changes) are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or unforeseen events.

4. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.

5. Health & Safety

Participants must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs before the tour.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone deemed unfit to participate due to health or safety concerns.

6. Responsibilities & Liability

Ecuador Local Guide acts only as an agent for suppliers (transportation, accommodations, etc.) and is not responsible for delays, accidents, or losses beyond our control.

We are not liable for injuries, illnesses, or damages sustained during the tour. Participants join at their own risk.

7. Code of Conduct

Travelers are expected to respect local customs, communities, and environmental guidelines.

Any misconduct (including illegal activities) may result in removal from the tour without refund.

8. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations or changes caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political instability, or pandemics.

9. Photography & Marketing

By joining our tours, you agree that photos or videos taken during the tour may be used for promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
